Translation, enthusiasm and imagination: passions that grew in France and Brussels
After my M.A. in technical and scientific translation in French and Russian, with a thesis on the translation of the scientific text Nabljudaem solnce, at the University of Trieste (Scuola Superiore di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori di Trieste), I went on a six-month internship with a translation agency in Brussels. Upon my return I worked as Junior Project Manager in the international luxury Contract Furnishing sector for three years, acquiring valuable first-hand knowledge of the dynamics and problems involved in the corporate world. I attended a Master in Traduzione Tecnica per Traduttori e Interpreti in Economia e Finanza (Specialist course in Technical Translation for Translators and Interpreters in Economics and Finance) at CTI Communication Trend Italia, Milan, and decided to dedicate myself to translating in 2011. In order to specialise in the legal sector, I took various courses, focusing on different types of contract, international contracts, corporate documents, compliance and code of civil and criminal procedure. I currently work as a freelance translator for translation agencies and private companies in a wide range of sectors, the economic and financial ones in particular, and continue to strengthen my skills in my chosen areas of specialisation.
